The Production Import feature allows you to convert recipe orders into production sheets using PLU codes and quantities. This streamlines the process from order intake to production and inventory depletion, saving time and improving operational efficiency.

- E-commerce platforms generating production sheets from online orders
- Restaurants scaling delivery operations and needing streamlined production workflows

How To Use Production Import
Step 1: Activate the Production Import Interface
First, Activate the Production Import.
Step 2: Assign PLUs to Recipes
Each recipe must have a unique PLU that matches the PLU used in your order spreadsheet.
Step 3: Select Production Import from Interfaces
- Go to Recipe Manager.
- From the Interfaces drop-down menu, select Production Import.
Step 4: Configure POS Filter Options
- Click Options.
- Under the Settings category, select Production Import.
- Choose your Production Import Filter from the drop-down menu (e.g., Excel).
- Click Preview Selected Filter to review the column structure:
- Column A: PLU
- Column B: Quantity ordered
- For serving recipes, quantity = servings
- For prep recipes, quantity = prep unit (e.g., 50 lbs if prep yield is in pounds)
- Click Save to apply your settings.
Step 5: Import the Excel File
- Return to the Production Import page.
- Locate and connect your Excel file.
⚠️ Note: The file must be an Excel file with a single worksheet. Files with multiple tabs will fail to import.
- Click Continue.
Step 6: Finalize the Import
- After the import completes, click Show Not Imported Items to view any failed recipes.
- Click Import to finalize the process.
