Why to zero out your counts:
This is useful to make sure that *every* product is counted. If you don’t count a product then setting it to zero will remove any on hand. This will give you an accurate On Hand because now you are taking a count only of what you truly have in house.
How to automatically initialize a new count to 0:
1. Click the Gear/Setup/Options
2. Scroll down to Counts:
Check mark the Enable Zero Counts box. Remember to scroll further down and click 
3. When you open a New Count the unit fields will automatcially be filled in with zeroes.
If you add a product to a location/sub-location “on the fly”, it is also initialized with 0’s.
