The Shopping Cart lets you gather products to order in one place and then create purchase orders (POs) by vendor. reciProfity uses each product’s preferred vendor, or the lowest price when no preferred vendor is set. It's a good idea to keep the cart handy while you work so you can add products from different tasks.
To Open the Shopping Cart:
- Locate the Shopping Cart icon at the top of the screen. It's always available.
- Click the Shopping Cart icon to open the pop-up.
- Check the number next to the cart to see how many products are in your cart.
- You can close the cart at any time. Your products remain when you reopen it.
To Add Products to the Cart:
- Begin typing product names or item codes, then select from the list.
- Add products from Requisitions and Counts while you work.
- Continue adding products at any time; the cart stays available as you move through other functions.
Choose Vendors or Pack Options (When You Have Choices)
If a product is available from multiple vendors or the same vendor offers different packs, you’ll choose the option you want.
- Use the Select drop-down to pick the vendor or pack.
- If the pack is different from what you expected, adjust the quantity accordingly.
Optimize Pricing and Preferred Products
You can let reciProfity choose the best option or make the selections yourself.
You have two options:
-
Click Optimize. reciProfity selects Preferred Products first. If no preferred product is assigned, it selects the lowest-priced option.
-
Select manually. Use Select to choose the lowest-priced product or your preferred option.
What the icons mean:
- A green thumbs up indicates a Preferred Product.
- A red alert triangle appears when a lower price is available or when a preferred vendor is set.
Submit the Cart To Create Purchase Orders
When your cart is ready, click the green submit button to submit the cart. reciProfity will then create an individual PO for each vendor.
After submission, the Shopping Cart will be cleared for your next ordering cycle.
