How To Automate Sales Mix Imports Using the POS File Transfer Scheduler

Automating your sales mix import saves time, reduces manual errors, and ensures your data stays up to date. With secure file transfer scheduling, reciProfity can pull sales data directly from your POS system using SFTP, making it easier for your team to access current information and focus on more strategic tasks.

⚠️ Important: reciProfity no longer supports FTP connections. Only SFTP is allowed to ensure secure data transfer. Attempting to use FTP will result in a failed connection.

 

Set Up the POS File Transfer Scheduler

Before you begin:

  • Make sure your POS Filter is assigned.
  • Confirm that your sales file uses a supported format.

Access the POS Scheduler

You can access the scheduler in two ways:

Option 1: From the Gear Icon

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner, open Setup, and choose Options.

     
  2. Select Sales.

Option 2: From the Hamburger Menu

  1. Click the hamburger menu in the top left corner, expand Manage Inventory, then choose Sales Mix.

     
  2. Select the setup gear.

Configure File Transfer Settings (SFTP Only)

  1. Enter your SFTP host name, username, and password.
     
  2. Click Test Connection to confirm access. If successful, the test circle will turn green.

Set the File Name

  1. In the Filename field, enter the exact name of your POS sales export file as it appears in your SFTP directory.

If you leave this field blank, reciProfity will look for a file using this default format:

Single Unit Example
Fiesta Café_Fiesta Café_12131911:23:51

Multi-Unit Example
Fiesta Café_Market St._12131911:23:51

 

Note: If your POS system uses a different naming convention, contact support for assistance.
