The Digital Recipe Book might switch to read-only mode if someone is added to the "Chef - Read Only" group. This group is meant for users who only need to view content. If the account owner is added to this group, they’ll lose all editing and admin access, so it’s important not to assign it to them. Follow these steps to check user roles and restore full access to the Digital Recipe Book.
-
Click on the Gear icon on the upper right of your screen.
-
Click Manage Users & Units.
-
Click Users & Connections.
- Click the email address of the user to whom you wish to assign Digital Recipe Book user rights. This will open the Edit User page.
- Important: Only check the “Digital Recipe Book only” box if the user should have view-only access. Do not check this box for the account owner—it will remove their ability to edit, save, or manage anything in the system.
- Click SAVE.
When this user logs in, they'll have access to the following permissions in read-only mode: viewing, scaling, and printing recipes.
