A Prep List maintains a list of prep recipes that will deplete ingredients from inventory that have been used in a prep recipe.
You can delete the used ingredients from inventory that you used in the prep recipe by using the Prep Build function. For example if you make 20 gallons of tomato sauce running a Prep Build will deplete all the raw ingredients used in the Prep Recipe.
Sometimes you create Requisitions for Prep Recipes. In this case you can run the Prep Build from a Requisition list by putting the Requisitions into the Prep List.
Start by creating your Prep Recipes.
Edit the prep recipes and click Tools/Requsition
This will create and open a new Requisition. Click on the Prep Recipes Tab:
This will display all the Prep Recipes waiting to be built. You will now stage them in the Prep List basket:
You can add All or any individual recipes to the Prep List basket:
When you are ready to do a Prep Build just click on the Prep List basket at the top of the screen:
Choose the Prep Recipes you want to Build. Click the top most box to choose ALL:
And then the Build Button
Give the Build a name and date and click the Build button:
From the sidebar menu click Prep Builds to view the build:
And view your Builds:
Creating a Prep List:
A Prep List is a cart that allows staging of requisitioned prep recipes. When you are done adding prep recipes to the cart you can run the Prep Build from here.
You can keep this open until you are ready to do a Build.
Select which/or All recipes to build. You also have the option to maintain this list if these are recipes you create and build on a regular basis.
You can now view all your Prep Builds. Requisitions convert to Prep List, it does NOT deplete ingredients until you do a Prep Build.
