Individual customer profiles are crucial for production management in a business-to-business environment. They enable businesses to efficiently track and process orders, manage production schedules, and streamline invoicing. By maintaining detailed customer profiles, companies can ensure accurate order fulfillment, monitor production progress, and automate invoicing, reducing errors and enhancing operational efficiency. This personalized approach allows for better resource allocation and improved customer satisfaction through timely and precise service delivery.
Licensing Note:
To enable Production Orders, each unit must have the Production Orders component licensed. This component is billed at $100 per year or $10 per month, depending on whether the base package is billed annually or monthly. To add this component, please submit a ticket through myECRS.
Production Orders also require an active Gateway license for any store that will be receiving production orders.
HOW TO: Create New Customers
- Select the hamburger menu in the top left corner.
- Select Production Orders.
- In the Production Order page, select the Customer icon.
- In the Customers screen, click the
button to create a new customer profile, or drill down into the Customer Code number to edit an existing customer profile.
- Populate the Customer Profile with the necessary information. For detailed descriptions of each field, refer to the field list provided at the end of this article.

Customer Profile Fields
Populate the Customer Profile as desired. The following fields are available for configuration:

- Business Name (required): This is the organizational name used for invoicing.
- Customer Code (required): A unique code generated to differentiate the customer profile. The "3897" (in the example below) is the reciProfity unit license number. In this example, the "5" is the sequential customer number auto generated by reciProfity.
- Customer Alias (required): This is the common name used to reference the delivery site.
- Contact Name: The main contact person at the delivery site.
- Contact Email: The main contact's email.
- Contact Phone: The main contact's phone.
- Alt Email: Alternative back-up email address.
- Billing Address: This is for invoicing purposes
- Shipping address: This is for delivery purposes.
