A transfer moves products and/or prep recipe inventory from one cost center (reciProfity Unit) to another. In some operations, this process happens in two steps:
-
Step 1: Request Transfer
The receiving Unit creates a suspended transfer. This is an order request only. No inventory moves yet. -
Step 2: Fulfill Transfer
The sending Unit opens the suspended transfer and completes the actual movement of goods.
This two-step workflow improves coordination between Units and allows for controlled inventory movement.
Important Notes
- You cannot suspend a transfer that has already been saved.
- If a transfer is accidentally saved, it must be deleted and recreated. Deleting the sheet returns all inventory to its original status.
Suspend a Transfer
Instead of saving a transfer, you can suspend it:
- From the SAVE drop-down menu, select Suspend and Close.
- The transfer will appear with a Suspended status in both the Transfer console and the Edit Transfer screen.
Suspended transfers immediately sync with the sending Unit.
- A user at the sending Unit can open the suspended transfer to fulfill or edit it.
- The transfer can be saved and closed as-is, or the shipped quantities can be adjusted before saving.
Any updates made by the sending Unit will sync with the receiving Unit.
Assign Transfer Permissions
You can control who has rights to:
