To track recurring deposit and refund charges, such as those for kegs or bottles, you’ll need to create an ingredient. In this case, it can be named Keg Deposit and Return, and a vendor product and item code should be assigned to it.
When entering an invoice, deposits and refunds can be charged as separate line items. For example, if two kegs were delivered and three were returned on the same invoice, recording these as separate charges reflects that activity directly.
The Ingredient Show Details view displays both deposit and refund transactions. Each invoice line item is listed, along with the current cumulative balance, such as $10.00, providing a clear summary of on‑hand movement.
If required pricing data is missing, a warning icon appears next to Current Unit Price, as shown below.
