Steps To Create a Salable Item
In the Edit Ingredient screen, do the following:

If you’ll be importing POS data, enter the PLU associated with the POS system.
- Enter your salable items as you purchase them.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Ingredient screen, below the Products section. Click the down arrow to open the Salable box.
- reciProfity displays your Target Food Cost based on the Food Cost % selected in the Optimizer.
- Enter your Sales Price, and the system will calculate your Actual Food Cost Percentage.
- Enter the Selling Unit. Specify the selling unit for the item
