Why It's Important
Yes, you can count Prep Recipes. When you use the Prep Build to create a production batch, the ingredient product on hands are decremented, and the prep recipe on hand is increased. To ensure your accurate end-of-period inventory reporting, you must include all prep recipes in the count.
How To Use It
In contrast to ingredient products, prep recipes cannot be assigned a location within the recipe. Locations are exclusively assigned through the Count feature.
1) Click on the Hamburger menu in the left corner.
2) Expand the Manage Inventory.
3) Select Counts.
4) Click the Products icon.
5) Select the Show Products Without Locations to return a list of products missing their location assignment.
6) Utilize the Filter Products field to locate specific products; prep recipes are marked with a blue tag.
7) In the Select Location field, choose a location from the drop-down menu, to see all products linked to that location.
8) Use the button to assign the prep recipe to the location.
