reciProfity manages different settings that allow you to sort and report.
1. Click the gear at the top right of your screen.

We've done a lot of the heavy lifting for you!
SuperGroups, Groups, Allergens and Categories have been pre-loaded with data.
You can always add, change or delete any of these. You can also add them "on the fly".
These are the standard 9 USDA allergens. You cannot delete any of the standard 9. But you CAN add and delete any additional ones that might have value for your kitchen staff and clients. Allergens are associated with ingredients and then with recipes using that ingredient.
Can be used to specify a food cost % for all recipes that fall within that category. For example if you create a category called appetizers and set that at 20%, any recipe associated with the category appetizer will calculate food cost at 20%. You can also use categories to sort and filter. For example if you want to search for all your vegan breakfast recipes, or French entrees. For an in depth discussion of food cost % fill your brain with this.
Think of SuperGroups as your G/L (General Ledger) COGS (cost of goods sold) codes. This is the same name you'd use in your accounting software. This is the highest level of ingredient association. You can sort reports by SuperGroup.
Associate a Group with a SuperGroup. This is a many (Groups) to one (SuperGroup) relationship. For example you can have many Groups, such as Produce, Dairy, Meat, Seafood, to one SuperGroup, Food. You can sort reports by Group.
- Vendors: pretty darn self explanatory. You can add these here in Setup or on the fly as you add ingredients.
