reciProfity manages various settings through Setup. You can adjust these settings on the fly; however, the best practice is to preset them before creating ingredients and recipes.
1) Click on the Gear icon on the upper right of your screen.
2) Click Setup
We've done the heavy lifting for you!
Allergens, Categories, SuperGroups, and Groups are pre-loaded with sample data.
You can always add, change, or delete any of these. They can also be added "on the fly."
-
- Allergens:
The thirteen default USDA allergens cannot be deleted. However, you may add, remove, or modify any non-default allergens that could benefit your staff and clients. Allergens are linked to specific ingredients, and these ingredients are then associated with the recipes that contain them.
- Allergens:
-
- Categories:
Categories can be used to specify a food cost percentage for all recipes that fall within that category. For instance, if you create a category called "Appetizers" and set the food cost at 20%, any recipe associated with the "Appetizers" category will automatically calculate that percentage. Additionally, categories can help you sort and filter your recipes. For example, you can easily search for all vegan breakfast recipes or French entrees. For a comprehensive discussion on food cost percentages, take the time to explore this topic further.

- Super Groups:
Consider Super Groups as your General Ledger's (GL) cost of goods sold (COGS) identifiers. These are the same names and identifiers used in your accounting software. Super Groups represent the highest level of ingredient association. Reports can be sorted by Super Groups.
- Super Groups:
-
- Groups:
Associate multiple Groups with a single Super Group. This represents a many-to-one relationship where numerous Groups, such as Produce, Dairy, Meat, and Seafood, can belong to one Super Group labeled as Food. Reports can be sorted by Group.

- IP Whitelist:
