Why it's important
The Catering Export feature allows you to transfer important recipe data between different platforms, vital for maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration. This process utilizes a unique ID (PLU) for matching, eliminating the need to align recipe names. Once the recipes are imported into the catering software, you can trust that your projected margins will accurately reflect your current recipe costs.
reciProfity exports the recipe portion unit, portion cost, and selling price directly into Caterease. Additionally, reciProfity uses a fixed layout known as the reciProfity default for importing data into other catering software.
The Catering Export is an add-on component. Please visit the reciProfity pricing page for the latest pricing information.
Follow these directions to activate the Catering Export feature.
How to use it
1) First, Activate the Catering Interface.
2) In the recipe manager, each recipe used for the export must have a unique PLU that corresponds to a PLU in the catering software.
3) In the recipe manager, select the recipes you want to export by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
4) From the Interfaces dropdown menu, select "Catering Export" and then save the file.
5) Be patient. It runs in the background, and depending on the file's size, it may take a few seconds before the Save File window appears. Your recipes will be downloaded as an Excel file in CSV format.
