reciProfity allows you to assign multiple products to a single item. You may purchase the same item—such as Greek Yogurt—from different vendors in multiple sizes. All of these products can be grouped under the item Greek Yogurt.
Only one product is used in recipes at a time. However, you can count all associated products.
How the Report Calculates Totals
The On Hand Report adds up the counts for all products linked to an item. It also totals the costs for those products and uses that combined value as the item’s total cost.
If an item has only one product, the report shows the total on-hand quantity for that product. The cost is calculated by multiplying the product’s cost by the total on-hand quantity.
Prep Recipes and Explode Prep Recipes Setting
When Explode Prep Recipes is ON, on-hand depletion occurs at the ingredient level for prep recipes. When OFF, depletion occurs at the prep recipe level. This ensures accurate inventory tracking based on your chosen workflow.
Counts always override calculated values regardless of the setting. If on-hand values appear incorrect, verify the Explode Prep Recipes setting and confirm recent counts.
