First, you need to have your reciProfity account set up. If this isn't done, please click this link to sign up for a plan with a 14 day trial.
You must be running CostGuard V18.104.22.168 or higher. This update is from early March. The CostGuard version is at the top of every screen. If you’re not current, click here for update instructions.
THIS FINAL IMPORT CAN BE TIME CONSUMING! WE SUGGEST STARTING THIS BEFORE LUNCH OR BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE DAY. If you have a couple of hundred ingredients and recipes, it will take several minutes. If you've got a thousand or more items and/or recipes, the conversion can take an hour or longer.
The conversion process is quite easy!
From CostGuard, click File > Export to reciProfity
Click yes to the next prompt; it will close CostGuard and start the conversion utility:
Click ‘Run’ if you get a security warning like this:
This option screen lets you select the unit you want to convert, and the destination of the export file.
Note: if you have multiple units, please select the one you want to use in reciProfity.
Click in Select unit to select the unit you want to convert (e.g., Main), then the folder icon to select the destination of the export file. It doesn’t really matter what you select; you do need to remember it!!
When you’re all set, click Export. After a few seconds, you should get a confirmation like this:
Now sign in to reciProfity, click the gear, then Setup, then CostGuard Import:
This screen is where you select your the file location where you saved your CostGuard export:
Click and select the location/file name (if you exported your Main unit in CostGuard, the file name is CostGuard_Export_MAIN.cgzip). Find the file, select it, and click .
You will see a series of progress bars; first for inventory items, then for recipes.
When the entire import is completed, reciProfity will open, and another progress bar will indicate that all your recipes are being repriced.
IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, please sit tight. We will have a copy of your exported data, and will look at the problem. We'll do our best to get back to you quickly.
You can ignore any timeout messages.
In fact, you can even close the app during the import. .The process will continue in the background and the imported items will appear when you restart reciProfity.
